The Love Fund Assistance Program

When illness strikes, love matters most. The Love Fund supports families facing Sickle Cell Anemia or Cancer with help for rent, food, medical bills, and more—so they can focus on healing, not hardship. No one should face this journey alone.

The Cell Connection

The Cell Connection Peer Support Group was created to foster open, honest, and empowering conversations around Sickle Cell Anemia. We provide a safe space for patients, families, and allies to discuss critical topics such as

​

  • What Sickle Cell Anemia is and how it affects individuals

  • Effective communication with physicians, caregivers, and loved ones

  • Advocacy skills and how to speak up for your health needs

  • Navigating life, growth, and identity while living with a chronic illness

​

We aim to cultivate connection, support, and knowledge among those impacted by Sickle Cell Disease.


Our goal is twofold: to educate the public about Sickle Cell Anemia and to amplify the voices of those living with it. We work to raise awareness, share resources beyond hospital walls, and create opportunities for patients and their families to express their needs.

I CAN-CER Connection 

The I-Can-cer, Can’t Make You Peer Support Group exists to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals affected by cancer. Through open, guided discussions, we explore important topics such as

​

  • The different types of cancer and who they affect

  • Effective communication with physicians and family members

  • Advocacy and self-empowerment when facing cancer

  • Life beyond diagnosis—pursuing dreams, setting goals, and finding purpose

 

We aim to inspire hope, resilience, and a sense of community for all those touched by cancer.


Our goal is to educate the public about the many forms of cancer while raising awareness and offering support beyond hospital walls.

We create opportunities for patients and families to voice their experiences, share their needs, and advocate for better care. Most importantly, we emphasize that a cancer diagnosis does not mean giving up on your goals—it means redefining your path, with strength and support.

The Support Volunteer Service Program is dedicated to providing compassionate assistance to patients who lack family support or long-term care at home. Our volunteers offer transportation services, advocacy, and emotional or social support—both during hospital stays and after discharge.

 

We aim to ensure that no patient feels alone in their journey.


Our goal is to create a warm, educational, and supportive environment for patients by offering

​

  • Tutoring for academic enrichment

  • Career advancement and job placement opportunities

  • Engaging activities such as games, arts, and crafts

​

Through these services, we strive to restore a sense of normalcy, dignity, and connection for patients navigating recovery or long-term health challenges.

The Entrepreneur Network 

The Entrepreneur Network is an 8-week business advisory course designed to empower aspiring business owners with the knowledge and tools needed to launch and sustain a successful venture.


Our goal is to guide individuals in building a strong foundation for long-term success. By the end of the program, participants will gain essential skills and insights in:

  • Crafting a clear and effective business plan

  • Applying marketing strategies to grow their brand

  • Demonstrating professionalism in corporate and client-facing environments

  • Understanding and complying with key state and federal business regulations

​

This program combines practical training, mentorship, and networking opportunities—equipping participants to turn their business ideas into reality with confidence and clarity.
