Public Health & Community Leadership Internship Program

The Something To Always Love Public Health & Community Leadership Internship is an educational and service-based internship program developed by Something To Always Love Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving public health and advancing educational equity in historically underserved and minority-based neighborhoods across Pennsylvania.

This program provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and leadership training for students and emerging professionals interested in public health, emergency response, health education, grant writing, finance,  social work and community engagement. Interns will gain real-world skills while supporting community initiatives that address health disparities, promote diversity in the public health and corporate workforce, and empower residents to make informed, healthy lifestyle choices.

Program Mission

This program mission is to inspire, educate, and equip the next generation of diverse public health professionals and community leaders through experiential learning, mentorship, and service in Pennsylvania’s underserved neighborhoods.

Program Structure

Duration:
8–12 weeks (Spring, Summer, or Fall cohorts)

Commitment:
10–15 hours per week (hybrid: remote & in-person community events)

 

Eligibility:

  • College or high school students (18+) interested in public health, nursing, social work, grant writing, finance or emergency response.

  • Residents of Pennsylvania, with preference to those from minority or underserved communities.

  • Individuals passionate about community engagement, education, and service.
